Started my career placing candidates at fintech companies and startups. Learned fast, talked to a lot of people, and got obsessed with finding the right fit.
2018 – 2019
Corporate Recruiter
Saks Fifth Avenue
Moved in-house and hired engineers and technical project and product managers for one of the most recognizable retail brands in the country.
2019 – 2020
Solo Recruiter & HR
Flow Commerce (pre-acquisition)
Joined a 30-person startup as their only recruiter and HR person. Built the ATS from scratch, set up the entire interview process, sourced candidates, and organized recruiting events. This is where I fell in love with the scrappy, figure-it-out side of hiring.
2020 – 2021

OkCupid / Match Group
Recruited in unconventional ways — Snapchat, Twitter, GitHub. If the right candidate was somewhere, I found them. Also attended recruiting events to build pipeline beyond job boards.
2021 – 2022

Hired web developers, backend engineers, and made one of my most notable hires — the Director of Product for the Investopedia and finance vertical at Dotdash Meredith (now People Inc).
2022 – 2023

Recruited for a solar startup, then landed a contract at Stripe — one of the most talent-dense companies in tech.
2024 – Now
Mobile Engineering Recruiter
Robinhood
Currently hiring mobile engineers of all levels at Robinhood — while building Built by Z on the side for startups who need the same level of recruiting without the full-time overhead.
Built by Z exists because small teams deserve great recruiting too. I specialize in hiring engineers, product, and marketing people for startups going from 1 to 10 to 100. Not executives. The builders — the people who actually make the thing work.
